Philip Reitnour was found dead on Saturday in the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia
A body pulled from a Pennsylvania river has been identified as a former contestant who appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank.
Philip Reitnour, 58, was found dead in the Schuylkill River near Walnut Street in Philadelphia on Saturday, authorities say.
He appeared on Shark Tank as the entrepreneur behind the app ‘Emergensee’, which is an app that connects users with pre-set safety contacts when they don’t feel safe.
It then gave users a way to provide live-streams of their emergencies, and locations, to rescuers or their safety contacts.
The 58-year-old father-of-four pitched the app during an episode from October 2014, but none of the sharks bit.
When his body was found, it appeared to have a gunshot wound to the forehead, investigators said, according to Pennlive.com.
