Mother-of-two hurled abuse at strippers kicked police

  • Queensland mother escapes conviction after verbally abusing strippers in club
  • She also punched at security and police after leaving the nightclub
  • She says she is embarrassed over her actions toward the dancers that night

A woman who screamed at two strippers before throwing punches at nightclub security and attacking police has revealed how she is completely embarrassed by her behaviour her lawyer says was sparked by a bad day at work.

Bartender and mother-of-two Amber Haynes was ‘in a bad mood’ when she went drinking with friends at another nightclub in Gladstone, central Queensland, on September 29.

She was mingling with friends near the stripper stage at Mieplace – when, at 3am, she suddenly lashed out at the dancers calling them ‘sl*ts and b****es’ – her night ended when she was restrained and put in the back of a police car.

‘I feel terrible about it and am absolutely embarrassed for my behaviour that night. Not just for myself but letting my family down as well,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I have two kids and this is my livelihood. My picture and name is out there for everyone to see over something I am completely devastated and embarrassed about.’

In Gladstone local court Haynes plead guilty to one count of obstructing a police officer in a public place while adversely affected by alcohol.

She also pleaded guilty to commit public nuisance with a licensed premises and being drunk or disorderly at a licensed premises.

According to the Gladstone Observer the trouble started over a feud Haynes had with the manager of Mieplace. At about 3am the young woman exploded at the dancers calling them ‘sl**s and b****es’.

She then screamed at the manager and other staff before leaving the building before hurling abuse and two men outside the club.

'I have two kids and this is my livelihood. My picture and name is out there for everyone to see over something I am completely devastated and embarrassed about,' she said

When security stepped in the young mother threw punches at him before he restrained her on the ground as he waited for police.

‘Get the f**k off me c***,’ Haynes yelled at security despite pleas from her friends to stop.

When police came Haynes tried to escape their grasp, after kicking an officer in the leg.

Haynes has been banned from entering the nightclub for a year and has been ordered to complete 60 hours of community service.
