Borussia Dortmund’s torrid Bundesliga season continued as Union Berlin recorded a 2-0 home win over Edin Terzic’s side at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

German midfielder Janik Haberer opened the scoring after eight minutes to put the hosts in control of the league encounter as Berlin retained their place at the top of the Bundesliga standings.

Berlin controlled the majority of the second-half as the underwhelming visitors tried to get back into the match, controlling possession but failing to test the goalkeeper.

Dortmund’s desperate efforts were to no avail as Urs Fischer’s side claimed their seventh win of the season, remaining five points ahead of second place Freiburg.
