A Portland substitute gym teacher has been found guilty of groping six seventh-grade girls in one single day.
The female students had claimed that Norman Scott, 66, touched their breasts, thighs and bottoms in October 2015 while he was their substitute teacher at Gardiner Middle School in Oregon City.
It was Scott’s first and only day subbing at the school.
Scott was found guilty of sexually abusing and harassing the girls at Clackamas County Court on Friday, according to the Oregonian.
The girls, most of whom were 12 at the time, had reported that Scott touched them inappropriately over the course of four co-ed gym classes throughout the school day.
Some students had told authorities that they saw Scott touching the girls’ hips as they stretched and that he had been staring at the bottoms.
Judge Jeffrey Jones said he found the testimony of the six victims and others to be detailed and credible following the two-week trial.

Scott, who had 40 years experience as a teacher, was found guilty of sexually abusing and harassing the girls at Clackamas County Court on Friday
‘The possibility of accidental touchings is just not reasonable,’ Jones told.
‘There are too many incidents for there to be one accident after another, after another.’
Scott had nearly 40 years experience as a teacher in Clackamas County and for Portland Public Schools.
He retired from Grant High School in north-east Portland in 2012 but continued working as a substitute teacher for the next three years.
Scott was arrested back in July 2016 after a months-long investigation. He posted $100,000 bail that same day and has been out of jail custody ever since.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 16.
