Olivia Newton-John honored at charity fundraiser

Olivia Newton-John looked fabulous as she arrived for a charity fundraiser Sunday.

The Grease star, 69, was all smiles as she posed for photos wearing an all-black ensemble.

And the singer looked the picture of health despite revealing back in May that she is battling cancer for the second time.

Olivia, who was being honored at the gala, wore wide-legged black pants tied at the waist with a black sash.

She had on a v-neck black top with lace trim on the neckline and added a tailored jacket.

Her bobbed blonde hair was tucked behind her ears and she added a splash of color with bright red lipstick.

She accessorized with a pair of hoop earrings and three silver neck chains, one with a butterfly pendant, one with the word ‘yes’ on it and one with a round symbol pendant.

The natural health businessman, whom she married in 2008, was suave in black tie.

The fundraiser was in aid of the nonprofit Autism Care and Treatment which provides support services to children with autism.

On hand, too, for the evening gala was former TV host Leeza Gibbon and former reality star Brandi Glanville.

In May this year, Olivia revealed that her breast cancer had returned after 25 years and spread to her back.

The hitmaker was first treated for breast cancer in 1992, at the age of 43 and underwent a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy and breast reconstruction.

Last month, she spoke to NBC’s Today about her treatment, saying she is combining traditional therapies with natural remedies, including herbal supplements, meditation and medicinal cannabis.

She also revealed she doesn’t think of her herself as a cancer ‘survivor’ but as a cancer ‘thriver.’

She explained: ‘A survivor sounds like someone clinging onto a lifeboat, to me. A thriver is someone that’s already off the boat and on land.’
