A stunning video shows the moment a concrete beam falls off of a truck turning in an Atlanta intersection, narrowly missing a construction worker directing traffic.

In the video one truck carrying a beam that’s at least 50 feet long can be seen turning left through the intersection without a problem as the flagman stands nearby.

When the second truck slowly takes on the soft left, it gets halfway through the intersection before the beam tips.

The beam falls to the ground with a heavy thud as the concrete crumbles and dust fills the air.

It just barely misses the construction worker directing traffic, who jumps as the beam falls just feet away from him.

The video was filmed by Michael Roberts, who was waiting to turn left in the opposite direction at the intersection on October 6 when the crash occurred.

It is unclear where the beams were being transported, but it’s possible that they were intended for a bridge on one of the city’s busiest interstates that burned down in March of this year.
