The Countess of Wessex cut an elegant figure as she attended an engagement today.
The stylish royal braved the rain to open a new manufacturing plant for JCB in Uttoxeter this morning.
The wife of Prince Edward, 57, wrapped up in a gingham coat in brown and blue from Harris Wharf London, which she first wore in March.
She paired it with a beloved sweeping forest green skirt from Alberta Ferretti which she has also worn several times.
Today’s event saw the mother-of-two unveil a plaque at the plant, and congratulating JCB staff on their fundraising efforts for the NSPCC, the child protection charity she is a patron of.

Sophie stepped out of her car while an aide rushed with an umbrella to protect her from the cold November rain.
Looking relaxed, the mother-of-two met with the JCB staff who will work on the plant as well as officials from the company.
She wore the pleated, high-waisted green skirt with a fine knit sweater in a warm shade of burgundy, and paired the look with a clutch in a similar tone from designer Sophie Habsburg, which she debuted last week.
The mother-of-two gave her outfit an autumnal feel with a pair of suede brown boots.
She sported a pretty day makeup, with a pink lip and a smoky eye and just a dash of blush to bring a glowing shimmer to her complexion

The royal chatted with the plants’ employees, who were all wearing their JCB uniforms during her visit

The countess was in good spirits and could be seen joking and laughing with the members of staff present
She added a touch of bling with a gold cuff bracelet from Halcyon Days adorned with a a ruby and another sporting an emerald which matched her stud earrings, and a pin that read ‘NSPCC’ on the label of her coat.
Sophie’s blonde locks were styled into a natural wind-swept blow-dry, and she sported a pretty day makeup, with a pink lip and a smoky eye and just a dash of blush to bring a glowing shimmer to her complexion.
During the visit, the mother-of-two was shown around the plant and chatted with its staff.
She met with production operators, some of whom are hearing impaired. She also met some of the young apprentices working at the plant, before moving to the Cab Completion Area, where she viewed a demonstration of the virtual reality cab.
She also thanked the attendees and praised JCB for the amount of fundraising it has accomplished for the NSPCC over their three-decades-long partnership.
Sophie has been the patron of the NSCPCC since 2016, taking over from Queen Elizabeth II.
Later on during the day, Sophie travelled to Safe Space, in Newcastle Under Lyme, UK, where she learned more about the work being carried out by staff and volunteers on the local refugee programme
Sophie recognised one of the attendees during her visit of the plant, and reached out to hug them
Sophie was seen kissing on of the attendees on the cheek during the event in Ottoxeter this afternoon
