A Louisiana father has social media users in stitches for his very funny — and completely unintentional — dad joke.
Ashlie Nicole Williams, 24, from Baton Rouge, took to Twitter this week to share a photo of the amusing moment after she asked her 25-year-old partner Aaron Cade to put their two-year-old daughter London straight to bed.
Aaron, though, interpreted her instructions a bit too literally — and tucked the little girl under the covers while she was still strapped into her car seat.

Ashlie was in their kitchen washing dishes when Aaron came home, carrying London inside in her car seat. The little girl was asleep, so Ashlie decided they should just let her be for a while.
‘I told him to just put her in the bed and I’d wake her and bathe her later,’ she told BuzzFeed.
He said OK and went upstairs, but when Ashlie finished washing the dishes and went to find London, she was in for a surprise.
London was in bed — but she was also still in her car seat. The sleeping toddler was still snoozing in her hoodie in the chair, which had been placed on top of the sheets. The covers were pulled up over the chair and her body.
Ashlie couldn’t resists sharing a picture of the moment on Twitter, where it’s already earned over 100,000 likes.

‘Aaron came in the house with London asleep in her car seat and I told him to, “Just put her in the bed.” He did exactly that,’ she captioned the image.
Luckily the mom wasn’t exactly annoyed by Aaron’s odd choice; in fact, she found it hilarious.
‘I literally walked out of the room to laugh because I didn’t want to wake her up,’ she told BuzzFeed. ‘I turned the light out and left her there.’
When she asked Aaron about it, he met her with a ‘blank stare’ and apparently didn’t realize what he had done wrong.
‘I couldn’t be mad because he did EXACTLY what I asked,’ she added.

‘I don’t think women understand how straightforward the male mind is,’ wrote one.
‘He’s doing his best okay,’ said another, while a third wrote: ‘Man was just following instructions.’
I once put a diaper on my daughter AFTER I snapped her onesie together and couldn’t figure out why her mom was crying laughing,’ recalled another dad.
‘The dads that commented weren’t surprising at all,’ quipped mom Ashlie. ‘It’s like they hold meetings to learn things like this.’
