A Minnesota mother has been charged for allegedly torturing her nine-year-old son by withdrawing his blood with needles and then flushing it down the toilet.
Jorden Borders, 32, of Crosslake, was charged with three counts of child torture and two counts of stalking on Wednesday.
Medics determined someone had taken blood out of him, but the mother blamed the hospital. She claimed the hospital had taken too much blood from her son.
However, after talking to her three children, investigators learned that the siblings had watched their mother do it and were told not to say anything, according to CBS.
Her two other children were not left unscathed, as their mother had self-diagnosed them with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or brittle bone disease.
She forced her children into neck braces and casts, despite no real injuries, it is alleged. Investigators also learned one of the children was forced to wear a cast for two years.

Casting materials had been found inside Borders’ home, according to CBS.
On her Facebook page, Borders often posted pictures of her children, including one where her youngest appears to be wearing a feeding tube hooked up through his nose.
In another photo, her daughter can be seen clearly wearing a neck brace with a bright smile on her face.
And the mother posted profile pictures with filters from nonprofits on them.
The children also said Borders would ‘choke’ them until their vision went blurry, ‘throw them across the house,’ make them stand in the cold for long periods of time, and hit them with belts, CBS reported.
One of the children also told investigators that he never had a bed.
‘I was never safe,’ one child reportedly said.
The mother also reportedly received up to $35,000 from non-profits.
Borders faces up to 95 years in prison with fines reaching up to $145,000.
No court date has been set yet.
