Instagram model Gracie Piscopo breaks silence over partner Andre Rebelo’s shock murder charge

A glamorous Instagram model has broken her silence after her boyfriend was dragged out of their multimillion-dollar home in handcuffs and charged with murdering his mum.

Andre Zachary Rebelo – the partner of Instagram influencer Gracie Piscopo and the father of her three-year-old son Romeo – was recently charged with allegedly killing his mother, in an affluent Perth riverside suburb in May 2020.

Ms Piscopo, who boasts more than a million followers on the social media platform, fought back tears as she made her first comments on her crypto trader partner’s case this week.

‘I’m just focusing on my son right now,’ Ms Piscopo told The West Australian newspaper, in comments published on Wednesday.

The news outlet reported that Ms Piscopo is believed to have been so shaken by the allegations against her boyfriend that a doctor has been visiting her at home.

Rebelo was arrested last Tuesday and charged with the murder of his mother, Colleen, who was found dead in her home in the affluent Perth suburb of Bicton.

The 58-year-old’s body is understood to have been discovered by a member of her own family.

Police initially believed the mother-of-four’s death was not suspicious.

Detectives are yet to divulge any details on Mrs Rebelo’s cause of death, but have stated that her body had shown no obvious signs of injury.

Rebelo has also been charged with fraud over allegations believed to involve his mother’s life insurance. The case is before the courts.

Rebelo has not entered a plea on the murder charge, after facing Fremantle Magistrates Court in Western Australia on November 22. He was remanded in custody and will face court later this year.

The charges against Rebelo have shocked the countless fans of Ms Piscopo, who has dated him for the past eight years.

Ms Piscopo’s social media accounts were once flooded with photos of her and Rebelo – among them an image of him feeding her grapes in the waters of the Maldives.

But he has noticeably been missing from her Instagram for most of the past year.

The last photo of the couple together was in a post from the last New Year’s Eve, where Ms Piscopo shared a picture of Polaroids of the pair from each year they’d been together.

The couple last week featured together in a post on the popular Instagram page Luxeladyofficial, but neither shared the photo onto their own account.

That same page also shared risque photos of the couple in the bath last month, but again neither uploaded the photos to their own platforms.

Rebelo did however feature in a video on Ms Piscopo’s YouTube account in September, titled ‘Family Weekend Fun’.

Rebelo has a personal and business account under the name Asset Mastery and Investing, but both accounts have no posts, despite his business page having more than 60,000 followers.

On the day after Rebelo’s mother died, Ms Piscopo shared a photo promoting a fake tan brand. Daily Mail Australia does not suggest any wrongdoing by Ms Piscopo.

In the wake of Rebelo’s charges, fans of the influencer claim she deleted several photos of her and her partner from her Instagram.

Other fans recalled the couple making a post after Ms Rebelo died, with the pair saying they were taking some time away from social media.

On one trip the couple, along with their son, stayed in a floating villa in the Maldives.

In a Father’s Day post from 2019, Ms Piscopo said her partner was ‘born to be a dad’.

‘You are so patient, kind and strong, everything I hope Romeo will become. I’m so proud of you and I’m so blessed that Romeo has a role model like you to look up to,’ she wrote.

In another gushing post earlier on in their relationship, the influencer described Rebelo as her best friend.

‘Someone I trust my life with and if you are ever lucky enough to fall in love with your best friend then you are the luckiest person in the world because there is nothing better believe me,’ she wrote.

‘You always try so hard and I love how you love me so unconditionally and you don’t look at me and see a flaw, you look at me with so much love in your sweet brown eyes like I am a gift.

‘I just want to thank you for being the best gift, the best friend, the best partner, the BEST boyfriend I could have ever asked for.’

Ms Piscopo has built a successful business out of her online presence and modelling, and even caught the eye of Khloe Kardashian.

The Aussie starred in an advertisement for the celebrity’s fashion brand Good American in Los Angeles in 2019, becoming the clothing line’s first pregnant ambassador.

‘I met her on set,’ she told The West Australian at the time.

‘She was so sweet and even gave me some tips on my upcoming labour.’

Rebelo will face court again on December 21.

Ms Piscopo did not respond to requests for comment.
