Queen Maxima of the Netherlands stuns in a sunny ensemble in Tilburg

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands today stunned in a cheerful yellow and blue ensemble as she attended the opening of a exhibition in Tilburg.

The Dutch royal, 51, was effortlessly elegant in the matching skirt and blouse, both adorned with artful floral print.

She teamed her sunny look with a canary headwrap, which weaved into her blonde tresses to make for an elegant up-do.

The mother-of-three teamed her belted top and flowing, A-line skirt with a navy clutch and high heels, holding onto some leather gloves to have on hand.

Maxima even stuck to the colour theme for her jewellery, wearing ornate sapphire earrings for the occasion.

The queen kept her make-up look simple, outlining her dark eyes and sporting a plum lipstick.

King Willem-Alexander’s wife was cheerful as ever as she enjoyed the new exhibit, dedicated to Royal embroidery.

According to the museum’s website, the new display – open from December 1 to May 29 – will focus on the stories and craftsmanship behind regal textiles.

Visitors are also invited to enjoy the ‘historic and new curtains of Paleis Huis ten Bosch’, the palace where Maxima and her husband reside.

It comes as she was effortlessly elegant in a chic cloaked jacket over a patterned, dusky pink dress at yesterday’s launch of the National Coalition for Financial Health at ABN AMRO in Amsterdam.

Maxima teamed the sophisticated, sleeveless black overcoat with a multi-patterned dot ensemble as she arrived at a bank for the engagement. A later unveiling revealed a long-sleeve, knee-grazing number which featured geometric prints, stitched together for a stylish silhouette.

She kept her belongings in a salmon clutch, stepping into cream-hued stilettos to bring the look together.

The mother-of-three slicked her blonde tresses back, opting for a delicate but opulent touch with minimal jewellery. Maxima enjoyed a glamorous make-up look, accentuating her dark eyes for a smokey effect.

The royal has long been a campaigner of money-focused activism, especially so in her capacity as UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

It’s been a busy week so far for the monarch who the day prior attended the presentation of the Prince Bernhard Cultuurfonds Prize 2022 in Amsterdam.

The queen aired her sophisticated dress with an on-trend black, calf-length cape, and a pair of simple patent court shoes and clutch bag.

Donning shimmer tights and a pair of black leather gloves, the mother-of-three brought her outfit together with a large diamond and sapphire brooch, which she wore under her right collar bone.

Maxima chose statement make up for the event, with a glowing bronze complexion, dark eyeliner and a muted red lip.

Queen Maxima wore her blonde locks loose in a stylishly messy side parting, as she stepped out at the Straat Museum to present the award.

The annual Prince Bernhard Cultuurfonds Prize was awarded to the Anne Frank House this year.

The organisation will receive 100,000 euros because, for decades, it ‘has been bringing Anne Frank’s life story and ideas to the attention of the world in a creative and inspiring way,’ said the fund director, Cathelijne Broers.

The Cultuurfonds Prize has been awarded since 2010. Each year it is given to a recipient focused on a different style of work.
