Kylie Jenner indulges in retail therapy at high-end store in LA

Kylie Jenner was spotted out after she fired back at critics who accused her of using photos of her newborn to distract from Balenciaga’s BDSM child photo controversy.

The makeup mogul, 25, shopped at the high-end retail store H. Lorenzo in Los Angeles on Wednesday with her longtime makeup artist Ariel Tejada.

Jenner cut a casual, yet stylish figure for the afternoon as she browsed the racks in a black leather moto jacket.

She kept her curvaceous legs hidden beneath a pair of wide leg light wash jeans.

For some added warmth, Jenner layered a black longline cardigan under her leather jacket.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder’s raven hair was worn long and straight with a pair of designer shades tucked behind her ears.

Instead of her go-to glam, Jenner opted for a more natural makeup look.

She kept a purse with a braided leather and gold strap over one shoulder and a hot coffee in her hand.

She and Ariel appeared to be having an animated conversation, with the beauty guru asking for Jenner’s opinion on a black quilted miniskirt.

After shopping, Jenner was captured returning to her chauffeured SUV.

The mother-of-two was accompanied by several bodyguards, one of which held an umbrella over her as she slid into the backseat.

Though she was in good spirits Wednesday, Jenner appeared disappointed by TikTok users after they flooded her comment section with criticism over her recent post.

They accused her of deliberately posting photos of her newborn son – who is still unnamed – to detract from the Balenciaga fashion scandal – which her sister Kim Kardashian has been swept up in.

Fans were shocked Monday when Jenner decided to share rare images of the nine-month-old son she shares with rapper Travis Scott in a slideshow shared to TikTok.

It also included photos of Kylie with the couple’s four-year-old daughter Stormi Webster.

Jenner responded to one critical comment that read: ‘Kris Jenner telling her kids to release the good photos after the Balenciaga scandal.’

Obviously enraged by the accusation, Jenner responded: ‘Uh whyyyyyy would I post my child to cover up for Balenciaga? This is why I don’t do this, always something to say.’

The TikTok creator replied: ‘I definitely understand that would be frustrating. Most of us just want more raw honesty from your family tho instead of silence like with Astroworld.’

The scandal erupted when Balenciaga released its 2022 Holiday ad campaign that featured children posing with its Plush Toy Bag. The bags look like teddy bears and are dressed in BDSM gear.

In the photo shoot, the kids also appeared surrounded by empty wine and champagne glasses.

The disturbing adult themes prompted outrage, with many asking why children had ever been used in the first place.

The brand’s biggest ambassador, Kim Kardashian, said in a statement Sunday that she is ‘re-evaluating’ her relationship with the fashion house in light of the scandal, but fell short of distancing herself from the brand for good.

Kardashian, who has been in business with the company for several years, spoke out days after the company had already apologized for the scandal. She is often seen wearing Balenciaga to major events and has featured in several of the brand’s campaigns in the past.

But on social media, users appeared skeptical of Kardashian’s statement which took days to prepare, with many suggesting that it was not sincere and that she was waiting and hoping for things to blow over. Many said that only a complete cutting of ties with the Spanish brand would now be appropriate.

She wrote: ‘I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been shocked and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.’

She continued: ‘As a mother of four, I have been shaken by those disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and anything against it should have no place in our society – period.’

She subsequently reissued the statement that saw some of the wording changed using stronger language adding: ‘any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society – period.’

However, on balance, Kardashian said that she is comfortable with how the company reacted to the scandal.

‘I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.’

In an additional post, to both Instagram and Twitter, Kardashian said she was reconsidering her relationship with the fashion brand but had not yet many any firm decisions.

‘As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.’

THE BALENCIAGA SCANDAL: BONDAGE BEARS, CHILD PORN DOCS AND AN ARTIST KNOWN FOR DEPICTING NAKED KIDS

The Bondage Bears Christmas campaign

The scandal erupted when Balenciaga released its 2022 Holiday ad campaign that featured children posing with its Plush Toy Bag. The bags look like teddy bears and are dressed in BDSM gear.

In the photo shoot, the kids also appeared surrounded by empty wine and champagne glasses.

The distinctly adult themes immediately troubled many who asked why children had ever been used.

Balenciaga ignored the scandal at first and seemingly allowed the photographer who was involved, Gabriele Galimberti, to take the heat.

He released a statement saying he had no control over the content of the shoot and eventually, Balenciaga released its own statement agreeing with him and taking responsibility for the campaign.

It has now been pulled from the internet.

The hidden child porn documents

After the BDSM bears fiasco, eagle-eyed critics started examining the rest of Balenciaga’s campaigns closely.

They soon discovered that in the background of an image from the Spring ’23 campaign was a printout of a Supreme Court ruling on whether or not internet child porn can be legally considered free speech.

On the back of the bears scandal, many critics said it pointed to a troubling pattern within Balenciaga.

Balenciaga was quick to blame North Six, a production company that helped arrange the shoot, for the inclusion of those documents.

They claimed that they entrusted all of the props from the photoshoot to North Six, and that their team was assured everything that was included was fake.

The troubling book of artist whose work depicts naked, castrated toddlers

Balenciaga is yet to answer for the inclusion of a book by Michael Borremans in the background of two of the images from the Spring ’23 campaign.

Borremans is a Belgian painter whose work includes a troubling 2017 series called Fire From The Sun.

It depicts naked toddlers – some of them castrated – playing in a group and at times alone.

Lawyers for the brand are yet to address DailyMail.com’s questions about how the book ended up on the photoshoot.
