‘I can’t believe it!’ Strictly’s Amy Dowden becomes a Guinness World Record holder after performing the most back charleston kick steps in 30 seconds while on set
Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden became a Guinness World Record Holder on Friday.
The professional dancer, 32, was left shocked as she was named winner of the Strictly challenge, that saw her perform the most back charleston kick steps in 30 seconds.
Amy, who performed a total of 19 steps in the time frame, was both thrilled and shocked at receiving the title.

In an Instagram post, she wrote: ‘I can’t believe it, pro challenge 2022 Guinness world record WINNER.’
In a video from Strictly from when she received the accolade, Amy was in shock while stunning in a pink dress.
‘Amy, you did it baby! The winner with 19 steps!’ Rylan Clark-Neal said.

The adjudicator also sweetly told her: ‘You are officially amazing!’

Amy, who hales from Wales, first joined the show back in 2017.
She was paired with celebrity partner James Bye on the show this year.
In 2019, she was a finalist on the show alongside Karim Zeroual.
