An Australian bride-to-be has shared her ‘incredible’ bridesmaid proposal that cost over $4,500.
Emily Lucin, 28, from Melbourne, hosted a Coco Chanel-themed dinner party to ask her five best friends the big question.
The party was complete with a Chanel gift bag for each bridesmaid, personalised outfits and extravagant dried flowers and decorations.
The founder of clothing brand Napoleon Wear admitted she ‘went a bit overboard’ but said it was ‘totally worth it’ as she had been waiting all her life for the moment.

The 28-year-old divided millions with the extravagant celebration, but she says it was ‘totally worth it’ as she has waited for the day all of her life (the bridesmaids pictured)
Emily documented the preparation for the party and shared it with her followers on TikTok.

‘I think I went a bit overboard but I’ve waited for this day my entire life so it was totally worth it,’ she said.
The business founder admitted she saved up for a year to host the party.
She told her friends the dinner party was for her birthday, but she had actually secretly planned the bridesmaid proposal.
‘Can’t wait to walk down the aisle with these special ladies by my side. How lucky am I to have five amazing, beautiful best friends!’ she said.
‘I surprised them with the most fun Coco Chanel themed dinner party last night at home.’

Emily put together an extravagant Coco Chanel themed gift bag for each of her five friends.
She custom designed a card for each woman, and also included $87 Chanel hand cream, a $40 Chanel ‘dream’ lipstick which they will all wear to the wedding, $48 compact mirrors and a perfume sample.
She also bought a $102 gold tennis bracelet from Objkts Jewellry for each of her bridesmaids, and $130 gold tennis necklace for her maid of honour.
She designed bridal themed T-shirts and bike shorts for her friends.
The business woman decked her dining room out in black and white décor to match the Chanel them
The businesswoman ordered her decorations from Australian party brand Oh It’s Perfect and transformed a messy room in her home into a luxurious black and white area.
For the occasion, she ordered three elaborate flower displays, ranging from $315.95 to $399.95 each.
She also had a white chocolate and raspberry cake that read ‘bride squad’ from Katielou’s cakes.
She ordered six black and white dinner plates, five black and white bouquets of dried flowers, a garland that read ‘I can’t say I do, without you’ and five fringe garlands for $91.95 each.
She also got five glass candle holders, five brass candle holder, two tall glass candle holders, and thirteen seven candles in different styles.
The business woman spent over $500 on candle holders and candles alone.
Most of Emily’s followers were obsessed with the party, but some thought it was too extravagant and costly
Most of Emily’s followers loved the luxurious celebration.
‘You’re giving me so much inspiration for when I propose to my ladies! love it,’ one woman said.
‘This is set up so pretty. I can’t wait to see your wedding!’ another said.
‘I don’t even know you, but yes I wanna be your bridesmaid,’ one woman joked.
However other people branded the party ‘unrealistic’ and ‘ridiculous’.
‘I’ve never heard of such a thing, a lot of money just to ask people it’s very cool and very beautiful but so much money for one dinner,’ one woman said.
‘Wish I was rich,’ another said.
‘I think you spent more on this then I did my entire wedding,’ another wrote.
‘Obviously it’s a ridiculous amount of money but this is so cute,’ another commented.
Emily has made her money from her successful clothing brand.
In 2020, Emily was making $25,000 per month after launching the brand with no previous business experience.
Emily has made her money from her successful clothing company Napoleon Wear
Emily started Napoleon Wear in June 2018 after struggling to find bathing suits that suited her ‘sporty’ and ‘bright’ fashion style while overseas in Tahiti and Bora Bora.
‘During the trip I looked everywhere for bikinis but couldn’t find a particular style I liked, so on the flight home I started brainstorming business names and designs,’ Emily told FEMAIL.
‘I originally had the business idea a few years ago but kept putting it off due to a lack of time, money and fear of the unknown.’
Emily said throughout her childhood she used to participate in state and national swimming competitions, so she was ‘naturally drawn’ to swimwear as a product to sell.
