One of the most highly anticipated activities of wedding receptions is the iconic bride bouquet toss, christening one lucky maiden as the next to head to the altar.
But for the boyfriend of one lady who was fortunate enough to pluck the floral arrangement out of the air, the moment proved to be a lot more scary than special – so much so that he actually fled from the scene, apparently terrified that his girlfriend would immediately propose.
The unnamed man’s hilarious reaction was caught on camera at Texas bride Adria Fleenor’s October 17 ceremony, after one of her friends grabbed her bouquet and quickly began jumping for joy – while her boyfriend ran and hid behind an archway in fear.

The video starts with an announcers voice ushering the women into a huddle in anticipating for the bouquet toss.
‘One, two, three!’ yells the announcer as the girls scramble and hop, all eyes glued in the petals arching through the air. The bride, dressed to the nines in a white strapless gown looks back over her shoulder to see who the lucky catcher will be.
A woman in a black v-neck dress catches the flowers and lifts them into airs with a gleeful laugh as the girls around her cheer and applaud her valiant catch.
‘Alright ladies and gentlemen give it up for that young lady there!’ the MC calls.
The camera is then suddenly jerked to the archway entrance of the room where the young lady’s boyfriend is hiding from the girl dominated scene.
The boyfriend, dressed in a gold suit and blue tie clasps his hand over his mouth in shock. When the camera woman laughs at his reaction he takes slow and steady strides behind the archway to hide from the reception room and from making eye contact with his girlfriend on the dance floor.
The video captures to two tickling stark reactions, although it remains unclear if the magic of the bouquet manifested into a new future for the viral couple.
