Christmas tensions boiled over into violence in a shopping centre carpark as two women and a man threw punches and kicked each other.
Shoppers, including children, hoping to get their last minute Christmas gifts were instead shocked by an unhinged brawl on Friday evening.
The fight broke out about 5pm in the Bowen Centre Point Plaza carpark, about 1,100km north west of Brisbane in Queensland’s Whitsundays region.
A video of the brutal scene in the town of about 10,000 people opened with the two women holding on to each other before they started throwing punches.

A man takes off a Santa hat and throws it into a shopping trolley before joining in the brawl.
One of the women shouted out ‘let go of me now,’ before the savage aggression ticked up a notch.
One of the women kneed the other women in the stomach, causing the man to try to pull her away from the fight.
Both of the women were also pulling each other’s hair at this point.
The women who used her knee, though, held on to both the other woman and the man, and the combined weight knocked him to the ground, followed by both women.
The man then started to try to kick her off him and the other woman tried to pull her away.

As the woman and man continued to battle it out on the ground, the other woman slapped her repeatedly and again pulled her hair.
Though others just watched on, a man who did not seem to be connected to any of those involved in the fight tried to break it up.
It worked, and all of those in the brawl headed away soon after.
Queensland police said they have had no report about the incident.
