The incident comes as female demonstrators in neighboring Iran continue to tear off their hijabs, cut off their hair and battle officers in protest after a young woman died in police custody having been arrested for not wearing the veil. Just days ago an Iranian woman was jailed for ten years for 'encouraging prostitution' after she removed her headscarf at a protest last year.
