A Canadian woman has revealed she ‘gets the ick’ when she sees ‘grown Australian men’ wearing thongs, especially if they are eating out.
Ioana, an expat who has been in Australia for six years, made a video outlining all the things that give her the ‘ick’ Down Under.
Her aversion to men wearing thongs in restaurants was her biggest pet hate, saying they should only be worn at the beach.

‘There’s something about grown men wearing thongs that makes me want to ‘bleugh’,’ she said.
The next thing on her hit list were bindis, or prickles.
‘Why do I have trust issues every spring?’ she asked pointing to a dense patch of them.
Cherry Ripes were the next thing on the woman’s ‘ick list’ – she said they are the ‘devil’s candy’.
She also singled out a sign on the M1 near the Gold Coast – and asked why it exists before offering up a vomit sound effect.
She also hates the phrase ‘Budgie Smugglers’, RM Williams boots and mullets.
Even Australia’s wildlife was targeted in the video.
‘Cockatoos and crows, they are so annoying,’ she said.
She started her video claiming it was just for fun and begging people not to be mad at her.
But one man said her first ick had him throwing his phone ‘across the room’.
Many of the people commenting on the video pointed fun at the young woman.
One man said: ‘Bindies aren’t a problem if you wear thongs.’
She said mullets also give her the ick
To which she responded with an enthusiastic ‘lalala can’t hear you’.
Others said she lost them at ‘RM Williams’ and admitted they were fighting words.
‘I ate a Cherry Ripe today, it was so good,’ teased one chocolate lover.
While another person asked why she needed to ‘drag cockatoos into it’.
This comes after Aussie women shared their very specific ‘icks’ which ranged from men not being able to scare birds to ‘looking pathetic’ in the shower.

‘The ick’ is when attraction to a current or potential partner suddenly changes to a feeling of disgust because the individual did something either disturbing or annoying.
There were problems with men using umbrellas, calling into a radio station just to have a chat, the thought of a man being locked out of his house and when they get a telemarketing call and have to say they aren’t interested.

Another woman argued that seeing someone run for a bus gave her the ‘ick’ in a more general way, which was met with rapid approval.
Sleeveless puffer jackets, dark blue bedroom sheets, people who preach about saunas and men sitting cross legged on the floor also made the cut.
‘I tried so hard not to laugh in the Uber on the way home reading these,’ one man replied to the thread.

‘I will never forget the bird chasing one,’ said another.
A third said: ‘Absolutely get the telemarketing thing. Like grow a pair and hang up’.
Another said she hates the thought of a man being ‘locked out of his house’.
