Olivia Dunne’s mom reveals how ‘proud’ she is of the LSU gymnast by sharing a bars routine

Olivia Dunne’s mom reveals how ‘proud’ she is of the LSU gymnast by sharing a bars routine as the TikTok sensation continues to recover from leg injury and build up to her first competition this year

While LSU gymnast and social media sensation Olivia Dunne hasn’t competed in the calendar year, that hasn’t stopped her mother expressing how ‘proud’ she is of the junior.

Dunne shared a clip of one of her bars routine, initially posted by her mother, Katherine, captioned ‘proud’ followed by a heart emoji.

It is unclear when the video is from, with Dunne still working her way back from an injury which has kept her sidelined this year.

Though, the LSU star still traveled with the team to nearby Auburn University, where the Tigers were defeated by the No. 5 ranked school.

She shared stories of her time in Auburn, dressing before the meet.

Following the Louisiana school’s win over SEC rivals Georgia last week, Dunne took to Instagram, posting a photo in her uniform – captioned ‘Great day to be a Tiger.’

The LSU gymnastics team added an extra layer of security, hiring a bodyguard for the rest of their season after teenage boys caused a ruckus at an event in Utah.

Dunne is regarded as one of the most influential college athletes, particularly for her social media work.

Her fans showed up to support her in Salt Lake City even though she wasn’t in the line-up.

The New Jersey native first started participating in gymnastics at the age of three – and she is now one of the top earners in collegiate sport with a reported net worth of $2.3million thanks largely to her various sponsorship deals.

This week Dunne shared hilarious footage of her most painful gymnastics fails – from flying off the bars to crashing down from the beam.

‘Don’t try this at home,’ she captioned the post, which got more than 1.3 million views in a matter of hours.

One video showed her swinging around the bars before she smashed her back right into the bar, while others featured her attempting to jump from one bar to another and missing completely – which resulted in her landing hard on the floor.
