LAPOINTE goes back into the archives to reintroduce grey into their colorful fall 2023 collection

The concept behind Sally LaPointe’s latest collection is ‘the idea of looking back to move forward.’

Known for highlighter colors and feather trims, the New York-based designer went back into her archives to bring forward the neutral shade of grey for LAPOINTE fall 2023. 

‘We started with chartreuse because that’s a classic, and then we built the color story around it,’ she told DailyMail.com. ‘Grey tones everything down, and with all these super saturated colors you need a grounding station.’

‘I do so much color that this is like taking a step back, it was a little bit of a challenge for me because a color is such a statement in itself,’ said Sally

‘But I really love it (grey) and it took off as a favorite of the season.’ 

The fall 2023 collection is a masterful mix of textures, including those that LAPOINTE is most known for: feathers.

But the New York-based designer’s latest collection is a forward-thinking evolution of other mood-boosting and sustainable textures, like ruffles, embroidery, Mongolian, and cashmere. 

Not to mention sexy details, including plunging necklines, thigh-high slits and side cut-outs.

By going back into the archives the designer perfected shapes her clients adore. 

‘We have a really loyal customer base, loyal celebrities and loyal retailers, said Sally.

‘After doing a deep dive into my past, we’re providing them with better versions of previous designs.’
