She held a burgundy leather bag and opted for burgundy heeled pumps, as she joined her husband King Felipe VI for the event, which is dedicated to the Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla.

King Felipe contrasted his wife’s dark subtle tones by wearing a light grey suit and pale blue shirt with a snazzy red tie with a floral pattern.

Letizia kept her silky brown locks loosely curled in a side parting and tucked behind one ear to show off her simple silver hoop earrings.

Photos showed the Spanish King and Queen standing alongside some of Sorolla’s finest artworks, which will be hosted ad the Royal Palace from February 17th 23rd.

The immersive exhibition will combine the artist’s creation with digital recreations and sensory experiences through light, colour and movement.

Burgundy and red appear to be the Spanish Queen’s colour palette this week, as yesterday she was snapped in a pair of trendy cropped leather trousers in the shade.

The royal dazzled for the cameras in a scarlet long sleeved top as she brushed shoulders with media figures at the Zarzuela Palace.

Letizia added a pair of matching trendy leather trousers which reached the top of her ankles, leaving her enough room to showcase her burgundy stilettos.

At one point Letizia placed her hands on the backs of two male attendees as the group of high profile figures got ready for another round of photographs.

The news comes after Letizia looked effortlessly chic as she blew a kiss to fans after attending the National Innovation and Design Awards in Aviles on Monday.
