Why thousands are ‘freaked out’ by young woman’s ‘perfect’ fridge

Why thousands are ‘freaked out’ by young woman’s ‘perfect’ fridge: ‘They shouldn’t be in there, get them out’

  • A woman fills her refrigerator with several ‘strange’ and ‘aesthetic’ items
  • She has a photo of her cat, flowers, and a jar of raw spaghetti inside

A woman has been shamed online for decorating the inside of her refrigerator to look ‘aesthetically pleasing’ instead of practical.

Eve, from Florida, has filled her fridge with flowers, a photo frame of her cat, jars of raw spaghetti, a houseplant, balloons, and more.

She frequently swaps out the flowers when they wither to keep the fridge looking and smelling ‘fresh’.

Thousands flood her comments with questions every time she posts a new video of her fridge – with many confused about her ‘unusual’ décor.

Eve recently posted a video titled, ‘What does my fridge say about how I think?’

A Florida woman’s fridge contains twelve cans of beer, tequila, six eggs, green beans, cheese, vitamins, carrots – along with baby’s breath flowers and a framed photo of her cat

The video showed a fridge with twelve cans of beer, tequila, six eggs, green beans, some cheese, vitamins, carrots – along with baby’s breath flowers and a framed photo of Eve’s cat.

But the comments she received were far from favourable.

‘It says you’re a starving alcoholic with style,’ one woman wrote.

‘Your fridge looks pretty – but I doubt you cook.’

‘So, dinner is composed of baby carrots, lettuce, some aioli, and a framed picture of a cat. My favourite!’

The woman gave no explanation for why she has a photo of her cat inside the fridge but called it a ‘shrine’ to her pet.

Many were distressed at the thought of having to decorate their refrigerator to keep up with a new trend.

‘It’s a fridge – not a display cabinet or coffee table.’

‘This is a first for me. Are we really decorating our fridges? I hate 2023 already.’

‘I barely have space for all the food and drinks … now I have to have space for decorating too? Even during the holidays?’

Some even left snarky comments to juxtapose their ‘real’ fridges with Eve’s ‘posed’ one.

‘Maybe if I add flowers and a picture of my dog it will counter balance all the expired condiments and aged leftovers,’ one man said.

‘Your fridge just called me poor in four different languages.’

Many were distressed at the thought of having to decorate their refrigerator to keep up with a new trend – claiming they simply did not have enough space for the essentials

In response to all the criticism, Eve simply said that she lives alone and does not have to take anyone else into account.

‘I’m single, I have no husband and no kids, and I like my fridge like this.’

‘Also – florists put their flowers in the fridge, people just think it’s insane because not everyone does it,’ she said about her ever-changing fridge floral arrangements.

‘It’s fine – I like my baby’s breath and hydrangeas and roses.’
