She explained that her four-year-old son would only eat one chicken drumstick for dinner, so she tried out the seasoning to encourage him to eat his vegetables.

‘My four-year-old told me “mummy this is so yummy”, now he eats all his dinner and asks for more.’

She said the flavour is fantastic but ‘hard to describe’ as it doesn’t have a strong onion flavour.

The packet is made from 33 per cent dehydrated onion, as well as cornflour, salt, sugar, potato starch, flavourings and colourings. It is designed to be accompanied with boiling water and create enough soup for four people.

Foodies immediately took to the post to warn the mum to keep the hack on the down low.
