I read a message that prove my partner cheated and I set it as his screensaver so he can’t deny it

A British woman has sparked debate online after revealing how she learned her partner was cheating when she saw a message from another woman on his phone.

Taking to parenting platform Mumsnet, the unnamed mother explained that she picked up her partner’s phone by mistake in the night and read a message from another woman about their ‘amazing’ kiss.

Confessing she was ‘heartbroken and angry’, she set the text as his wallpaper so he couldn’t deny it and said she was waiting for him to wake up to confront him about it.

However many others rushed to the comments, with some suggesting she should wake him up and kick him out of their home.

She wrote: ‘Set his cheating message as his screen saver. So my lying, cheating…..now (not that he knows it yet) EX is snoring away beside me.

‘We have the same make and model of phone, and I’d plugged mine in earlier to charge, but didn’t realise he’d taken mine out to charge his up while I was in the shower.

‘A notification popped up, on what I thought was my phone plugged in, I went to read the message.

‘I saw it was from another women, talking about how amazing their kiss was…Completely baffled, I soon realised it was his phone.

‘Turns out not only have they shared this amazing kiss, but they’ve also spent nights together while he’s been away at work.’

The anonymous woman said: ‘To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement. Anger has over ridden me but I want to play it cool before I dump his sorry, pathetic lying cheating f****** a**.

‘I’ve set his screen saver to the last message she sent, so there’s no way he can deny it.’

She finished her post: ‘I’m waiting for him to eventually see it in the morning, am I crazy, or do I wake him up and kick him out now?’

Many other users on the forum suggested that she should get some revenge as he slept.

Another said: ‘Send yourself all or at least screenshots of the messages. Pack all his s*** in a bag or several carrier bags.

‘Put them out on the street. Then chuck the phone at his head and tell him to get the f*** out.

‘He can look at his new screensaver as he stands next to his belongings outside your locked front door.’

Someone else wrote: ‘I’m not that cool, I’d be sending the message to everyone in his contacts.

‘Then I would be replying to the other woman (as your ex), maybe ask her to come round for breakfast because you have gone away for a couple of days?’

One person wrote: ‘Well done. So many women on here don’t act so decisively to their own detriment. I hope you have your house back to yourself asap.

Another said: ‘You sound strong and you know exactly what you need to do! Good luck.’

While someone else said: ‘I hope you are OK OP. What a horrible ‘surprise’ for you last night.

‘As much as I admire your strength and resolve, it must be hard having your life turned upside down out of the blue like that. Keep your chin up, dignity intact, you are worth so much more.’
