In the TikTok video, Maddie speaks to camera as she says: ‘It’s Prada fashion show day,’ referencing their Fall/Winter 2023 runway show in Milan.

‘I don’t know how I got from filming silly little TikToks in my apartment to here,’ she added.

Maddie slips into the $2,100 gray poplin jumpsuit and continues: ‘Okay, this is the jumpsuit – very chic, very utilitarian.

‘I think we need to make it a little more me.’

Maddie then takes a deep breath as she waves scissors in the sign of the cross and tells fans to ‘say a prayer.’

The influencer starts to cut the jumpsuit into a crop top and trousers before also then removing the legs.

But she stresses ‘we don’t waste in this house’ before using the discarded trousers as legwarmers.

Maddie sets about finishing the ensemble with some very pricey Prada accessories, including a $750 brushed leather belt and a $2,350 rhinestone mesh bra top.

She jokes ‘I have made a real Prada mess in here’ before dangling a pink $5,700 Galleria mini-bag in front of camera and adding a boutonniere.

The star then debuts the new ensemble in its entirety – with a combined cost of more than $10,900 – as she says: ‘Okay this is the outfit, wish me luck.’

She uploaded the clip alongside a caption that read: ‘Playing it safe was not on the agenda for Prada day.’

Maddie wore the look to the brand’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway show in Milan and stressed that she had paid for the jumpsuit herself, adding: ‘I would never do this to a loan.’

And the transformation video left people mesmerized.
