  • A librarian has gone viral after saying staff can’t put a certain book at the front
  • She told staff not to put the ‘My Daddy is a Giant’ book at the front of the shelves

A librarian has gone viral after sharing the urgent email she sent to the staff after spotting an awkward X-rated detail on a popular children’s book.

The anonymous employee posted on Facebook, where she shared a snap of the book My Daddy is a Giant on the bookshelf at the library, but because of the placement of the book, it looked like it reads My Daddy is a C*nt.

The librarian wrote: ‘All staff: Please ensure that copies of “My Daddy” are not placed at the front of the book box. Thanks’.

My Daddy is a Giant is a popular children’s book released in 2005 by Carl Norac from Belgium.

It tells the story of a little boy, for whom having a daddy is like having his ‘own personal giant’.

More than nine thousand people who saw the book placement were quick to laugh and share comments.

‘Oh that’s an unfortunate position for the book,’ one person commented.

‘Took me a minute,’ another added.

A third wrote: ‘Oh god, that’s funny. Got me,’ another added.

This isn’t the first parenting fail to go viral.

Previously, a mum revealed how she uncovered a very rude word when using an online learning app with her child.

The program she and her child were using was ABC’s Reading Eggs, a game designed to help children learn how to read the alphabet.

‘Doing ABC Reading Eggs with my three-year-old daughter,’ the mum wrote alongside a photo she shared to Reddit. ‘Can you find the letter “C”?’

‘At least we know the program is Australian Made!’

The collection of letters shown in the photo could spell out a profanity.
