Fitness Playground gym has undergone a radical transformation as it rebrands to ‘One Playground’ – as one of its most popular locations undergoes a breathtaking renovation.

The cult-favourite gym has taken a fresh new approach to its branding and membership to further create a fun, accessible space for gym-goers.

With Aussies spending anywhere from $35 to $100 per week on memberships, the new all-encompassing fitness, lifestyle and wellness membership is just $28.95 a week.

Founded by Sydney entrepreneur, Justin Ashley, the brand started out as a small bootcamp in 2011 and over the years has grown to become an influential gym with a cult following.

Last year it was also voted as the ‘Best Boutique Gym’ in the World at the Fit Summit awards in Singapore.

The latest development offers are a far cry from typical gyms, with the Newtown location having undergone a drastic multi-million-dollar redevelopment and will open to the public on March 4.

It features an appealing blue and white ‘training in the clouds’ theme, mirrored ceilings, grand columns and LEDs illuminate the 40m running track.

The breathtaking space also has a DJ boost perched over the gym floor and syncs to a lighting grid that pulses to the beat of each song, giving off a nightclub vibe.

More so the low weekly membership cost is a huge point of difference in comparison to other gyms that will likely spark the interest of many.

The weekly cost of gyms around Australia:

One Playground – $28.95 p/w

According to the Global Wellness Institute, Australians care about their health and spend almost $100 a week on their wellness – often having multiple memberships.

Fitness Playgrounds’ CEO and Co-Founder Justin Ashley says the name change to One Playground was a ‘logical evolution’, aligning with the brand extending its offering beyond fitness, to include wellness and then into the all-encompassing concept.

‘Fueling the Fitness Playground brand was a vision to offer our members the widest variety of high-quality experiences. Rebranding as One Playground marks the next step in fulfilling this vision,’ Justin said.

‘One Playground’s unique offering will allow members to move away from holding various gym and studio memberships, combining them under one roof, with one affordable membership, without compromising on quality.’

Celebrating the launch, members of the public are invited to attend the Newtown gym for free on the opening weekend (March 4-5) with merchandise giveaways, free bottles of Four Pillars Gin to the first 50 attendees, live DJs and wellness shots all on offer.
