William and Kate’s flirty moment at St David’s Day

Royal fans are going wild over a flirty moment between the Prince and Princess of Wales during the St David’s Day parade yesterday.

Kate Middleton, 41, was accompanying her husband, Prince William, who was making his first visit to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at Combermere Barracks in Windsor as their newly appointed Colonel of the Regiment.

After the parade, the couple met with the families of the Welsh Guardsmen, as well as men and women from the Australian Army who are based in the UK to help train Ukrainian soldiers.

In one clip which went viral, Prince William and Kate could be seen teasing one another about the results of the England vs Wales rugby match over the weekend.

Many of those watching went wild over the video, with one commenting: ‘They are so cute!’

Meanwhile another wrote: ‘They are so cute and happy. Wondering what they were saying.

‘Love their smiles! Today was very important for William and as always Catherine by his side supporting him like he supports her as well.’

A third added: ‘They look [like a] good couple.’

In the clip, William and Kate could be seen sharing a laugh with the group as William batted Kate’s hand away.

William playfully rolled his eyes, before he went on to refer to the Welsh rugby coach, adding: ‘I think Warren [Gatland] will sort it out.’

The heir to the throne, patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, and his wife, who holds the same position for England’s Rugby Football Union, were both at the game in Cardiff last weekend supporting the rival teams.

On Tuesday, during a royal visit to the country, William admitted getting ‘non-stop grief’ from his wife over England beating Wales at rugby.

He confessed Kate had been giving him stick all weekend after Wales’s 10-20 defeat to England in the Six Nations rugby union championship on Saturday.

Later he went further, telling one of his hosts: ‘I’ve been getting non-stop grief all weekend about that.’

Asked if he had enjoyed the game when the couple arrived at Brynawel Rehabilitation Centre for people with drink and drug addition near the town of Pontyclun, the Prince said: ‘Not a lot. We’ve been talking about it all weekend.’

Their latest rare public display of affection between the couple came hot on the heels of an appearance which a body language expert described as ‘their most loved-up to date.’

Kate sent royals fans into a frenzy as she appeared to give her husband Prince William a gentle tap on the behind when at the BAFTAs at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

The couple looked to be exchanging a few words, before she leant across and appeared to give his behind a soft tap in a rare moment of PDA for the duo, who seemed relaxed and overjoyed to be attending the glamorous annual event.

Elsewhere, yesterday’s visit saw Kate impressed by nine-year-old Thomas Lucas, who managed to steal the show when he decided to perform an impromptu backflip.

Speaking to Thomas afterwards, the princess said his backflip had been ‘extraordinary’ and that she had been ‘super impressed’.

She asked his parents ‘who he gets his back-flipping talents from’ and Thomas responded that he had taught himself.

The primary school pupil explained to the royal visitor that he was really into ‘parkour’, a popular type of ‘free running’ that involves athletically vaulting, jumping and climbing over obstacles to get from one point to another as quickly as possible.

Kate – who had referred to it as dancing – said ‘not dancing sorry – I need to learn all this lingo I’m not very good at it’.
