The ‘disastrous’ moment young mum-of-two gets ‘wedged ‘ in an underground carpark: ‘Oh my god guys I’m stuck, the roof is right there’
- Mum got her car stuck in an underground carpark
- Indy Clinton’s car was too large and became ‘wedged’, leaving her panicked
A young mum-of-two recorded the disastrous moment her car became ‘wedged’ in an underground carpark, leaving her feeling claustrophobic and in a panic.
Indy Clinton, 25, from Sydney, was driving to a shopping mall when she noticed her car suddenly stop.
She quickly realised the vehicle was ‘stuck’ after being too large for the carpark and had scraped the top of the roof.
‘Oh my god guys, I’ve driven into an underground car park and my car is too big. Look at the roof, can you see that?’ Indy said in a video.
‘I’m stuck on the roof. What do I do? Oh my god. I’m literally stuck.’

In a video shared with her 1.1million TikTok followers, Indy appeared concerned and shaken as she recorded herself sitting in the car.
‘Happy Tuesday!!! I have claustrophobia and have caused a traffic jam and about to have a panic attack and mental breakdown. All because I had to run into shops to buy hemorrhoid cream f*** my life,’ she captioned the clip.
The misjudgment caused a traffic jam as other cars were wanting to drive into the carpark.

The video has since amassed a viewership of more than 1.1million and hundreds expressed their concerns.
‘The way I would DIE what did you do??!’ one person wrote, another said: ‘The panic I’m feeling right now – such bad claustrophobia.’
Others asked and questioned whether the car park had a clearance bar.
The following day Indy shared a follow-up video explaining how she escaped with the help of a stranger.
‘I made it out alive, I’ll tell you how I lived to tell the tale. I was rescued by a tradie. He put my car in 4WD and slowly reversed it out,’ she began.
‘I actually haven’t seen the damage. Innocence is bliss.’
Indy joked the experience was ‘fun’ and ‘traumatic’, but this isn’t the first time this has happened.
‘This has actually happened to me before. When I was 18 in a manual Ute and my car didn’t fit and I actually called the police that time,’ she said.
‘So I’m glad I didn’t call the police this time.’

Other drivers offered their advice if the situation were to happen again or to anyone else.
‘For next time babe, air down your tires, re-air them when you get out,’ one person wrote.
‘Let the air out of the tires just enough to get out,’ another said.
A third confirmed and said: ‘You don’t have to let all the air out. You can move it slowly, it’s actually a good idea.’
