A prostitute drove her married client to the brink of suicide by threatening to expose him to his wife after he demanded a refund when she missed an appointment.
Jade Crawford, 23, blackmailed two men who had asked for her services online, making a total of £310, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard.
The mother had to flee her home town of East Kilbride near Glasgow when her crimes came to light.
She now faces jail after pleading guilty to extortion in February and December, the Daily Record reported.
Crawford blackmailed one of her male clients when he asked to use her services after seeing an advertisement on AdultWork.com.
The man, who claimed to be in a non-physical relationship with his wife, paid her £48 by bank transfer to Crawford but she failed to turn up.
Prosecutor Michael Mackintosh told the court: ‘He paid £40 by bank transfer and a further £8 after she encountered transport difficulties but the escort did not attend and he asked why.
‘She made reference to medical issues and he asked for a refund.’
After the missed appointment, Crawford sent the man messages on WhatsApp threatening to tell his wife.
Mackintosh said: ‘He contacted the Samaritans and was advised to contact the police.’
The man was described as ‘in tears’ when he reported the matter to police.

A man from Ayrshire also alerted police after paying Crawford £150 to stay quiet.
Police linked the incidents and arrested Crawford at her former home in Greenhills, East Kilbride.
Crawford, who now lives in Possil, Glasgow, was bailed and will be sentenced on December 4.
