Kevin Durant beats Kyrie Irving in the pair’s first matchup since they left the Brooklyn Nets this winter as Phoenix Suns’ blockbuster signing drops 37 points in 130-126 over the Mavericks

In the first matchup in three seasons as opponents, Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant took care of Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving in a Sunday matinee matchup.

After both stars were traded away from the Brooklyn Nets this winter, Durant showed up big-time in Texas – dropping 37 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and one block in the 130-126 victory.

The other three superstars on the floor also turned in big performances – with Durant’s Phoenix teammate Devin Booker putting up 36 points and ten assists, while Mavericks stars Irving and Luka Doncic dropped 30 points and 34 points respectively.
