Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn helped save a man’s life by pulling him from a burning car on Sunday night in Austin, TX.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter to reveal that he and three others rescued the man from the vehicle after it had crashed under a bridge.

Osborn told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he was riding in an Uber home from training when he saw a car that had crashed under a bridge and had flames emitting from its hood.

He and his Uber driver immediately rushed to help and, along with two other bystanders, pulled the driver from the crash.

After approaching the flaming vehicle, Osborn was able to pull the man out and drag him away to safety until emergency services could arrive to assist.

Osborn said that the man was clearly unable to get out of the car on his own and there was no passengers with him in the car. The driver reportedly suffered only minor injuries.

‘Most of the time the saying goes ‘wrong place, wrong time.’ But this time I believe God had me, us at the right place at the exact right time,’ Osborn wrote on Twitter alongside images of the crash and a photo of himself with the three other good Samaritans.

‘Last night myself and these 3 absolute heroes helped save a man’s life by rescuing him from a vehicle up in flames after a bad crash. A situation I’d never imagine being a part of in a million years.’

Osborn was selected by the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft after playing collegiately at Buffalo and Miami.

The Michigan native has career totals of 110 catches, 1,305 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns, all coming in the last two seasons as the Vikings’ No. 3 receiver behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen.

He also caught ten passes for 157 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ 33-point comeback win against the Colts last December — the largest comeback in NFL history.

Osborn is said to spend parts of his offseason training in Austin every year and will be entering the final year of his rookie contract with Minnesota in 2023.
