Sydney’s ‘entire’ train network goes into meltdown due to a ‘communication’ issue leaving the city paralysed

Commuters hoping to get around or out of Sydney this afternoon are being warned to expect chaos after a communication issue brought the city’s entire network to a standstill.
All trains were brought to a standstill just after 3pm on Wednesday due to the issue.
‘Allow plenty of extra travel time due to a train communication issue,’ Sydney Trains warned.
‘Trains may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal while the issue is ongoing.
‘We expect this to continue through afternoon peak services.’
The computer screens at Central Station in the city’s CBD, which usually show the stops and next trains coming, were completely blank after the outage.
