A massive search has been launched for a missing businessman who has vanished close to the notorious clifftop suicide spot where conwoman Melissa Caddick was last seen.

Entrepreneur Harish Palagummi, 43, disappeared on Tuesday from Christison Park in Vaucluse in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. He hasn’t been seen since.

Daily Mail Australia understands that he left his office in Sydney’s CBD at about 3pm. His car was later found parked at the coastline park perched on sheer cliffs which plunge down to huge waves crashing on the rocks below.

The location is close to Caddick’s $7million Dover Heights mansion where she was last seen leaving, after the corporate watchdog, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, raided her home in a $20million fraud probe.

She was never seen alive again, and her foot washed ashore at a remote beach near Tathra on the NSW south coast three months later in February 2021.

Mr Palagummi, a venture capitalist and CEO of online grocer Geezy Global, last spoke to a family member about 7.30pm on Tuesday before disappearing.

‘When he failed to return home and could not be contacted, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts,’ the NSW Police Force said in a statement.

Police and family say they hold concerns for his welfare.

He is described as being of Indian sub-continental appearance, about 182cm tall, slim build, with short black hair and a thin beard.

He is believed to be wearing a pair of blue jeans and a business shirt, and has been known to frequent the Linfield and Vaucluse areas.
