Drew Barrymore reveals she will host the MTV Movie & TV Awards

Drew Barrymore has announced that she will be the next host of the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

The 48-year-old actress revealed her news in a segment of her talk show’s regular Drew’s News Report in which she appeared styled to look like the killer doll from the recent hit horror film M3GAN.

While ‘M3GAN’ spoke to Drew, she told the E.T. star that she would be hosting the award show on May 7 of this year.

Drew opened her video with a ‘breaking news’ segment at the news desk while dressed in a smart tan sport coat.

The clip cut to M3GAN, which was the talk show host dressed in a doll-like outfit with a brown dress, a red-and-white striped pussy-cat bow, a striped long-sleeve shirt underneath and white tights with black shoes.

She also appeared to have colored contacts with nearly white irises that made her pupils appear particularly piercing.

‘Thank you Drew, I actually have news for you. You’re hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards! How exciting!’ Drew said in her creepy M3GAN voice. 

Then, she started to dance around in an approximation of the doll’s dance, which went viral thanks to street performers prior to the release of the horror film.

‘Oh wow, I am so honored to be chosen, especially this year when the show is all. About. The fans,’ Drew gushed back at her news desk. 

‘I’m a fan and you’re a fan of scary movies right?’ she added while the camera panned over to someone wearing a Ghostface mask from the Scream franchise.

‘It is going to be an epic night. Big moments. Huge movie stars. Cocaine bear, are you free on May 7?’ she asked asked as someone in a bear suit slid across the floor in front of her desk while sporting a splash of white powder on its snout.

‘The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards, we’ll be there!’ she added.

Then she turned her head toward another camera angle, adding, ‘Will you?’ while suddenly wearing the disturbing white M3GAN contact lenses.
