Biden’s bracket busted! President’s pick to win NCAA Tournament, second-seeded Arizona, suffers first-round upset to 15-seed Princeton
President Joe Biden was one of the many college basketball fans who had their March Madness bracket busted following Princeton’s upset of second-seeded Arizona.
Biden had picked Arizona to win the National Championship in his bracket and seeing as they have now been sent home, it is unlikely that Biden will have a chance to win any White House March Madness pools he may have entered.
Princeton came into the game as 15-point underdogs but ended up winning the game 59-55.
Arizona was up by only one point at halftime as the scoreline read 31-30, however the Wildcats were only able to muster 24 points while being out scored in the second half.
Princeton will now play No. 7 seed Missouri in the next round of the NCAA Tournament.

Biden was not the only member of the White House to enjoy some college basketball on Thursday, as Vice President Kamala Harris was booed while watching her alma mater, legendary HBCU Howard University, be demolished by Kansas 96-68.
‘I mean, here we are in Des Moines. And they are a tough time, they work hard, they are so disciplined and it is a joy to watch them here in March Madness,’ Harris said of Howard’s men’s basketball team in the second half. ‘So many of us who are here, we love our school.’
‘And Howard University, I ran for my first office as freshman class representative and have always been part of the Howard community.
‘And I’m sure that everyone who has a team understands what it means and the joy and the commitment that we have in the traditions and the loyalty to your team.’
When the Vice President was shown on the arena’s jumbotron, boos drowned out the round of applause given to her. The crowd’s demographics may have played a factor in its reaction to seeing the former senator of California on the arena’s video board.
More than half of voters in Iowa where the game was held (53.1 percent) voted for Donald Trump in the 2020 Presidential election, compared to 44.9 percent of votes for Joe Biden.
