Avid watcher pins down true menace of popular Aussie show ‘Bluey’ – and the evidence is overwhelming

TV fan breaks down exactly who the real ‘menacing villain’ of Bluey is – and the evidence is overwhelming

  • A woman revealed the pug Buddy is the ‘true menace’ of popular show Bluey
  • The puppy was seen contaminating whipped cream and rubbing snot on things

The popular Australian children’s show Bluey is beloved among adults and kids alike – but a woman is making waves after revealing the identity of series’ true ‘menace’.

Samantha, 31, from the US, was simply watching reruns of the show when she caught one of Bluey’s friends, Buddy, red-handed on Bingo’s birthday.

She posted a video of a Season 2 scene that depicts the duo’s friends running haywire as their mum, Chili, prepares some dessert.

Buddy is seen sneaking in and using a step stool to climb up onto the counter and sticking his paw in the whipped cream – before licking it clean.

But that was not the first time Buddy is shown being a menace – he also infamously picked his nose and rubbed the snot on a slide at a public park.

One of the show's biggest appeals is its relatability across generations - so watching Buddy deciding to be a 'villain' and contaminating a whole tub of whipped cream at a child's birthday party hit too close to home for many mums

‘So, you notice how Chili comes in and she moves that step stool over there, and then she puts [jam] on top of those [buns]?’ Samantha narrated over the video of the birthday party.

‘And then she puts the whipped cream on top.’

Buddy is then seen crawling up the counter towards the desserts.

‘He sticks his whole-a** hand in the whipped cream!’ she exclaimed. ‘And f*cking leaves! And guess who comes back in to f*cking use it to serve to people? F*cking Chili.’

Once Chili leaves the kitchen for the second time to put more snacks out for the children, Buddy goes back in for a second helping of the ‘illegal’ whipped cream.

Buddy also runs out of the room to lick his paw and enjoy the fruit of his labour.

‘I thought this was hilarious,’ she captioned the video.

However, Buddy’s snot debacle occurs all the way back in the first season of the show.

In ‘The Creek’ (Season 1, Episode 29), Buddy is at the playground with Bluey, Bingo, and several other children being supervised by their father, Bandit.

Buddy was picking his nose while Bandit rested his eyes at the base of the slide.

After he’s done, Buddy looks left and right before rubbing the blob of snot onto the side of the slide.

While many thought this was disgusting, the act was akin to most parents’ experiences dealing with their children being ‘gross’.

‘Bluey is such a slice of life show. That is literally the kind of thing that would happen during a big party,’ a mum wrote about the whipped cream.

‘Aw, I love all the small details – they’re so cute and funny!’

‘This is really just how kids are sometimes.’
