Snoop Dog received a true Scottish welcome when he touched down in Glasgow Airport ahead of his concert in the city’s OVO Hydro on Friday. 

The rapper, 51, stepped off his flight to be greeted by his and Dr Dre’s track Still D.R.E played on traditional bagpipes. 

Snoop appeared overjoyed by the welcome which he described as ‘f***** dope’ and even showcased his dancing moves on the tarmac. 

The musician was wrapped in a blanket after his long journey and kept warm from the Scottish chill with a red beanie.

Piper Ross Ainslie, who was also dressed in a kilt, told Glasgow live: ‘It was a very cool experience!’.

‘I only had a day to suss out some music but ‘Still D.R.E’ is a great pipe tune! Who knew?’.

Racing to Instagram one fan wrote: ‘I’ve never felt so proud to be Scottish’. 

With a second writing: ‘Brilliant, best Scottish welcome’.
