Actress accuses Weinstein of raping her twice in 2010

Another Hollywood actress has come forward with new rape allegations against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Actress Paz de la Huerta, known for her roles in ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘Cider House Rules,’ claims that the powerful movie producer raped her twice in 2010.

The New York Police Department and the Manhattan district attorney’s office have now opened an investigation into the matter, according to The New York Post.

The incidents, as alleged by Paz de la Huerta (pictured right in Boardwalk Empire) occurred in a two month time frame, once in October 2010 and again in December

Paz, 33, claims the two had met at a party in October 2010, and was offered a ride back to her Manhattan apartment.

Weinstein lived in the same neighborhood, and according to Paz, insisted on having drinks at her place to cap off the night.

But things took a dark turn once they got inside her home, with Paz telling CBS News in a phone interview that he took off her dress and forced himself on her.

‘He pushed me on the bed … and it happened all very suddenly,’ she said.

Two months later, Weinstein allegedly showed up at her apartment after the actress reportedly confronted him weeks earlier. That’s when Paz said he made his way back into the apartment and raped her again.

Law enforcement officials say that they are aware of the incident and have appointed a senior sex crimes investigator to conduct an investigation.

‘We are aware of the sexual assault complaints,’ the NYPD said in a statement.

‘We are actively investigating them. The NYPD continues to work with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office on the case. The investigation is ongoing,’ the statement added.

Since the beginning of October, more than 65 women, including A-list celebrities to budding actresses, have come forward to accuse him of exploiting his position.

Women including Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and Cara Delevingne have told how Weinstein abused his position of influence and power in the movie industry to attempt to pressure them into sexual encounters.

The accusations range from inappropriate massages to rape.

Weinstein, who is also being investigated by the Beverly Hills Police department, maintains his innocence and denies any allegations of non-consensual sex.
