My husband got our baby daughter sleeping through the night with a quick trick that takes just minutes
Parents of young children will know the absolute anguish of being woken up by a crying baby several times a night.
Chloe Gordon, from Detroit, revealed on TikTok how her husband Aaron found a way to help their daughter Edie sleep complete nights.
She revealed that Aaron, who’s been responsible for Edie’s routine since her birth, feeds her oats right before bed.
It is believed that oats are a ‘good’ carbohydrate that encourage the production of melatonin, the sleep hormone, leading to better sleep.
Many parents discovering Chloe’s video on TikTok promised to try the hack for themselves, while others who were familiar with the trick agreed it had also helped their own children settle for the night.

Chloe shared a video of her husband Aaron feeding their daughter some creamy oats.
In the sweet clip, Edie looked like she was enjoying her bedtime treat, nodding in-between each spoonful.
Her post read: ‘When you wonder how your daughter has been sleeping through the night, but your husband does the bedtime routine and has been giving her a bowl of oats right before bed.’
The mother-of-one added in her caption that the trick ‘worked like a charm.’
She also revealed the recipe she and Aaron use to prepare Edie’s bedtime oats.
She wrote: ‘We use regular quick oats, almond milk, almond butter and sometimes nutmeg and cinnamon. Just a lil bowl will do.’

According to the Sleep Doctor, oatmeal is one of the best foods to promote sleep, as it increases the body’s production of melatonin, the hormone that makes us sleepy.
The carb is also high in fiber, B vitamins, and lots of minerals and works as well before bed as it does in the morning.
