Worst hacks of 2023: Boyfriend puts toilet seat in the dishwasher to clean it

A girlfriend has showed her boyfriend’s bizarre toilet seat ‘cleaning hack’ that’s put thousands off eating at other homes ever again. 

Alison Koroly’s shared a video of the toilet seat being removed and placed sideways at the bottom of a dishwasher – alongside dirty plates and cups .

‘I never knew people did this,’ text read over the video, alongside the caption: ‘He’s living in the year 3000.’

The shocking clip has surpassed more than 5.3million views and comments, many of which were claiming how ‘nasty’ and ‘horrifying’ it was.

‘Temperature kills the bacteria but the emotional damage is forever,’ one wrote.

‘Technology obviously brings laziness,’ another said, a third added: ‘You did what!!!!’ 

‘On this Earth? Could never be me,’ another said. 

Many also vowed to never eat at other people’s homes ever again.  

‘That’s a solid no. Going to cancel all of my dinner plans outside of my house for the rest of time,’ one said. 

‘Don’t trust people,’ another added. 

Others pointed out the so-called ‘hack’ was likely a joke – or at least the majority hoped it was. 

Many also honed in on the sarcastic comments, with one person writing: ‘Don’t forget to put the toilet brush in the dishwasher as well!’ 

‘That’s a great idea, I suggest we all start doing this,’ another joked. 

A third said: ‘Everyone’s getting creative.’
