Lady Victoria Hervey puts on a glamorous display as she attends her nephew’s christening in the rain

It may have not been the brightest of weather but Lady Victoria Hervey seemed to refuse to let that dampen her spirits as she attended her nephew’s christening yesterday.

The socialite and former ‘It Girl’, 46, who is the daughter of the 6th Marquess of Bristol, donned a glamorous cream coat and matching dress when arriving at the London Oratory for the christening of the 8th Marquess of Bristol’s son.

She was joined at the service by her sister Lady Isabella Hervey and her mother Yvonne Marie Hervey, Dowager Marchioness of Bristol.

Lady Victoria’s brother, Frederick Hervey, 43, the 8th Marquess of Bristol, welcomed his son, Earl Jermyn, on July 25th 2022, with his wife Meredith Dunn of Weston, Massachusetts. 

The couple, who wed in May 2018 at the Brompton Oratory, south Kensington, also share a daughter, Lady Arabella Hervey, born on March 8 2020.

Shielding from the rainy weather, Lady Victoria held a see-through umbrella while walking towards the service.

Prince Andrew’s ex completed her elegant ensemble with a pair of cream peep-toe heels and a statement yellow handbag to complement her winter coat.

Adding a touch of glitz to her outfit, the glamorous socialite sported a pair of shimmering earrings and an array of rings and bracelets. 

The Marquess of Bristol was educated at Eton and Edinburgh University. His wife is a graduate of the prestigious Barnard College, with annual fees of almost $70,000 and boasting alumni such as Martha Stewart, Cynthia Nixon and Joan Rivers. 

Last year, Lady Victoria moved back to London from Los Angeles after two decades of living in the US.

Not one to mince her words, the beauty told The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden: ‘All my friends in LA have left because it’s a s***hole.’

Chatting to Eden at the opening of the Frameless digital art gallery in Marble Arch, Victoria continued: ‘It’s really nice if you don’t leave the house, but, as soon as you leave, you see the homeless, crackheads and half-naked women with no teeth throwing things at you. 

‘It’s not safe and not what it used to be,’ explained the former ‘It girl’ who moved to Los Angeles back in 2004.

Victoria shared a slew of snaps to her 506k Instagram followers upon returning to the UK, taking in all of the capital’s landmarks once again.

And it seems moving wasn’t the only big change that the socialite has considered, previously explaining how she was considering starting a family before the Covid-19 pandemic happened – but is now glad she didn’t.

She admitted that pregnancy magazine Project Baby had also influenced her thinking — as she has a prospective sperm donor/father lined up, should she decide to start a family.

Six of her eggs were frozen and stored three years ago, at a cost of £11,000, and she spent the time afterwards looking for a donor.

‘I had a friend who was going to be my sperm donor. He was going to be involved in my child’s life, but as a friend, not a partner,’ she explained.

‘And I was supposed to be pregnant now. But then Covid happened, which was a big blow, but looking back I’m really grateful I didn’t do it with that person. He just wasn’t right.’
