MASH actress Judy Farrell dead at 84: The star played Nurse Able opposite Alan Alda and also appeared in Get Smart and The Partridge Family

Hollywood actress Judy Farrell has died at the age of 84, TMZ shared on Tuesday.

She passed on Sunday after suffering from a massive stroke, the site reported. 

The star was best known for working on the long-running smash-hit TV series MASH, about the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital care for the injured during the Korean War.

The drama aired from 1972 until 1983 and won numerous Emmy Awards.

The star played Nurse Able opposite Alan Alda, who played Hawkeye Pierce.

She was also married to her MASH costar Mike Farrell, who played BJ Hunnicutt, from 1963 until 1983. 

Judy also made appearances on the well-known TV series Get Smart and The Partridge Family.
