Little-known trick to open fiddly Chupa Chups wrappers in seconds: ‘My mind is blown by this’

Foodies have discovered a little-known trick to easily open Chupa Chups lollipops.

The confectionery brand is somewhat infamous for difficult packaging that wraps around delicious sweets.

But the struggle is finally over after the brand recently introduced new sustainable and more accessible packaging.

You simply have to hold the lollipop’s head in place with one hand, use two fingers to pinch the bottom of the wrapper, and twist in opposite directions around the candy treat.

The wrapper will loosen immediately and you will be able to easily pull the packaging off. 

A woman officially revealed a fool-proof method to open Chupa Chups lollipops in seconds. 

Sydney Purl, from the UK, demonstrated the simple trick in a video.

‘There’s a new way to open Chupa Chups!’ Sydney said. ‘You no longer have to wrestle the wrapper off.’

She simply placed her grip on the bottom of the wrapper and the lollipop’s head and then twisted in opposite directions to unravel the packaging.

‘Now you know how to open your Chupa,’ she captioned the clip.

Her post amazed thousands of people, with many previously unaware of how to properly open the sweet treat.

‘You mean after all these years, there’s a way to open them without a struggle? And nobody told me?’ a man asked.

‘OMG why didn’t I know this?’ another commented.

‘My kids will be so thrilled to see this!’ 

But not everyone was impressed, and a few even claimed to already know the hack. 

‘I thought everyone knew how to open them,’ a woman said.

‘This has been how you open them since they were made.’

‘It’s common sense.’ 

How to open a Chupa Chups lollipop 

• Step 1: Use your pointer finger and thump to hold the bottom of the wrapper in place
• Step 2: With your other hand, hold the top of the lollipop
• Step 3: Grip the candy gently and twist in opposite directions to unravel the wrapper
• Step 4: Enjoy!
