Train passenger wins praise after insisting a fellow traveller move from his booked seat after she initially REFUSED
A train passenger who reserved his seat in the carriage ahead of time has been praised after he asked a fellow passenger to move when she was sat in it.
The passenger appeared to be on a train in Belgium and filmed the exchange as he politely confronted the other passenger and posted the video on TikTok which has since racked up more than 7.8 million views.
Although toe-curling at points, people were impressed by the exchange as the man, who posted with the username @mr_boris_becker, was not put off by the awkwardness and stuck to his guns.
Despite a little bit of pushback from the woman and another fellow passenger, she eventually got up from his seat and conceded that she understood his argument.
Commenting on the TikTok video, other people said they would not have been able to handle the exchange in such a calm manner.

The clip begins as the man asks for his seat, which is taken by a woman who initially appears hesitant to move and seems to suggest asking if he could perhaps look elsewhere – which he explains is ‘going to be difficult’.
Begrudgingly but with understanding, the woman then stands up to leave – but not before two other women, who don’t appear to be linked to her, chip in to suggest the TikToker just try and find another place.
‘But it’s my place,’ he can be heard saying.
The other passenger then says: ‘But, you know.’
‘But, you know, calm down,’ the TikToker hit back.
His comment section was flooded with praise for how calmly the situation was handled.
‘The other girl should’ve minded her own business,’ one commenter remarked.
‘No way they were getting upset at you asking for the place you bought,’ another slammed.

A third hit out: ‘The other woman getting into is none of her business.’
Other people said other passengers’ behaviour was ‘very very cheeky’.
‘How they gonna get mad for a place you paid for,’ another remarked.
Most commenters also appeared less annoyed at the woman who took the man’s seat, and more irritated by interjections from others as she left.
‘When she said “but, you know…” that made my blood boil,’ one seethed.
Elsewhere, someone remarked: ‘Worse than her taking his place, is the other woman trying to justify why she should look for another seat.’
The clip was posted to account @mr_boris_becker, who has more than 864,800 followers and has some 13 million likes across all his videos.
