Tea and coffee will be available for guests while tasty treats from The Naked Duck will be provided for the pooches.

Two sessions will run from 8am-9am and 12pm-2pm and those keen to cuddle up to the puppies can simply drop by to purchase tickets for $5. The money raised will go towards Guide Dogs NSW.

The cafe will open to celebrate International Guide Dog Day and raise awareness about the great work of Guide Dogs NSW.

There will also be a number of guide dogs and therapy dogs in attendance, as well as their owners who will be happy to share how their canines have helped improve their lives.

Training a guide dog is a long process, which begins with selected puppies undergoing an intensive five-month program with a Guide Dog Instructor to learn the complex skills required for their new job.

As training continues, the dogs learn to travel through confusing and crowded areas, like shopping centres and busy city streets.

It takes up to two years to complete training and comes at a cost of $35,000 per dog, according to the Guide Dogs website.
