Queen Máxima of the Netherlands showcases her quirky style in a designer trench coat with cut outs

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands made a bold fashion statement in a designer trench coat with cut outs on Tuesday in Milan.

The royal, 51, showcased her quirky style in the Claes Iversen Pazia jacket from the 2019 Collection which featured a slew of holes.

The mother-of-two enjoyed a stroll at Parco della Musica in front of Bosco Verticale building during Milan furniture exhibition during Design Week 2023.

She completed her look with a vibrant blue suit which she paired with nude Ferragamo leather heels.

She accessorised her ensemble with a £2,815 gold Begüm Khan ‘Evil Eye’ clutch bag and £723 Cartier sunglasses.

The royal posed for a slew of snaps with Petra Blaisse who is the architect of Parco della Musica, and Stefano Boeri, the designer of Bosco Verticale skyscraper.

It comes after Máxima and Brigitte Macron looked ready to fully embrace spring in vibrant ensembles last week.

The pair put on equally colourful displays as they toured the famous Keukenhof garden – dubbed the most beautiful spring garden in the world.

First Lady Brigitte, 69, dressed in a yellow coat and black trousers, was all smiles as she posed with fans for a photograph during the second day of her and President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Amsterdam and The Hague.

Looking just as chic, Máxima, 51, donned an all-red ensemble, complete with a blazer, blouse, trousers and even matching heels.

Later tonight, the elegant Queen and French first ladies were joined by their husband and the Prime Minister Mark Rutte to have dinner at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

Earlier in the day, Queen Maxima wowed in a red and flesh-coloured dress at a series of engagements with Brigitte in Amsterdam.

The pair first visited MIND Us mental health foundation, which supports the mental health of young people aged 12 and 27, before visiting the Anne Frank House.

Maxima looked stunning in her striking ensemble on the second day of President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Amsterdam and The Hague with the First Lady.

For the day’s visits, Maxima chose a show stopping nude-coloured dress with red detailing. She partnered the look with a bold red coat, which was buttoned up to guard against the early spring cold weather.

The mother-of-three fashioned her blonde tresses into a sleek up-do, which showed off her statement tassel earrings.

She finished the outfit with a red snakeskin-patterned clutch bag, creating a stylish, coordinated look.

Her makeup maintained the glamorous tone as Maxima opted for dramatic smokey eyes and sculpted brows, with a rose pink lip gloss adding a dash of colour.

Queen Maxima was accompanied by her guest, Brigitte, and they looked engaged as they listened to explanations about the work of the MIND Us mental health organisation and visited a drop-in facility for young people.

Brigitte, 69, looked elegant in a structured royal blue trouser suit with gold buttons, which she paired with a simple white blouse.

She wore her blonde hair down in a neat blow dry and kept her makeup subtle, with dark eyeshadow and a pink lip.

The pair also visited the Anne Frank House and were pictured receiving a presentation and leafing through the pages of what appears to be Anne Frank’s diary.

The visit today comes after the pair were pictured with their husbands – President Emmanuel Macron, 45, and King Willem-Alexander, 55 – for a state dinner at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam last night.

Maxima donned an elegant bright red dress which featured puffed ornate sleeves and exposed her shoulders.

She also wore her tiara and a pearl necklace, while her husband cut a dapper figure in a tuxedo and white bowtie, putting his military medals on display.

The royal pair wore matching red sashes adorned with badges and Maxima also accessorised with a decorative brooch in the shape of a butterfly, with stunning pearl-drop detail.
