Virgin Australia airlines is offering bargain basement fares for holidaymakers to enjoy getaways to island tropical paradises.
As part of its ‘Love Island Sale’ Virgin is offering a return fare as low $429 from the Gold Coast to Bali.
Flights departing from Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth are also offering knockdown fares to Bali, Fiji, Samoa and Vanuatu.

However, travellers will have be quick because the fares only offer from the airline’s website until midnight Monday.
The offers apply to selected travel dates, which include May to June 2023, October to December 2023, and January to March 2024.
The only seats on sale are Virgin’s Economy Lite fares, which do not include seat selection or checked baggage.
The sale comes as competition for budget air travel is heating up in Australia.
Start-up airline Bonza in April boasted that it sold over 100,000 tickets during the Easter long weekend.
The airline, which has four aircraft flying out of Melbourne Airport and the Sunshine Coast, launched its first flight on January 31 from the Sunshine Coast to the Whitsunday Islands off Queensland.
Bonza offers fares as low as $49 to 17 regional destinations along 27 routes but avoids operating on Australia’s busiest flight paths between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The Covid pandemic saw air fares soar with two budget carriers ceasing operations.
Singapore-based TigerAir abandoned the Australian market in 2020 while the business-oriented OzJet folded earlier in same year.
