Emmerdale took a dramatic twist on Thursday night when Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd finally got married, while Chloe Atkinson gave birth to a son.
Charity (Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie’s (Lawrence Robb) wedding day was thrown into chaos after they were arrested for driving a van involved in a robbery.
However, they were later released from jail and they rushed to finally tie the knot at their A-Team themed wedding.
Things hit another hurdle when Mackenzie was told Chloe had gone into labour and mysteriously disappeared, before arriving at the last minute for the nuptials.
When Mackenzie said he hadn’t been ‘honest’ at the altar, it looked like Charity might finally found out about his fling with Chloe, which saw her become pregnant.

Baby: Elsewhere, Chloe gave birth to a baby boy named Reuben, with Charity remaining unaware of her fling with Mackenzie
However, he simply delivered an emotional speech and the couple successfully got married, while Chloe (Amy Nuttall) was seen giving birth to a son called Reuben.
The episode came to a dramatic end as Charity delivered a gushing speech to Mackenzie, and remained unaware of her new husband’s huge secret.
It remains to be seen whether Charity will find out at her reception, after show bosses promised the wedding would be ‘explosive’.
The tension kicked off in Thursday’s episode when Charity and Mackenzie were stuck behind bars after being arrested for driving a van involved in a robbery.
They were both arrested by police in a van that his sister Moira (Natalie J Robb) had given them – leading viewers to believe she set it all up.
The pair have not been getting on and found themselves embroiled in a heated showdown on Tuesday where Moira was accused by Charity of trying to sabotage the nuptials as she let her paranoia get the better of her.
On Wednesday, Moira went round to their house to make amends and said they could use an A-team replica van she had found for their themed wedding ceremony.
Later when they were getting frisky in the vehicle they were approached by police who said that the van had been used in a robbery days before. They were then taken into custody.

On Thursday, Charity was then heard telling police that Moira was ‘behind all of this’, only to be told that she had spent all night trying to get them released from prison.
Moira was then seen speaking to PC Mike Swirling (Andy Whitaker), trying to convince him Charity and Mackenzie weren’t involved in the robbery.
When they thought all hope was lost, the couple were then released from prison after Moira and PC Swirling banded together to make it happen.
They piled into the van and sped away from the police station in a desparate bid to make it to the church on time as Moira yelled: ‘Get in! We don’t have time, come on!’
As they made their way there very slowly with PC Swirling driving, they begged the police officer: ‘Come on Swirling, put your foot down!’
An action sequence then saw the A-Team theme music blaring out as the van drove at high speeds along the lane, charging towards vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).
With Charles thinking the couple weren’t coming, he started to drive away in his car, only to nearly be hit head on by the speeding van.
A shocked onlooker exclaimed: ‘They’re going way too fast!’
However, they managed to avoid any injury and instead knocked over a pile of boxes, with viewers left in stitches at the amusing sequence.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: ‘Omg words fail me,’ while another commented: ‘Nice driving.’
Commenting on PC Swirling, a third said: ‘Deserves a BAFTA for outstanding service to be the only policeman in the Dales.’
A fourth tweeted: ‘What on Earth is happing in Emmerdale,’ while a fifth added: ‘A-Team theme tune, WTF?’

After the action driving sequence, Mackenzie mysteriously exited after checking his phone, with fans wondering whether he had gone to the hospital to see Chloe.
But he seemingly didn’t show up at the hospital and almost missed his wedding after his lengthy absence, before returning at the last minute to marry Charity.
As they got to the altar, it seemed he might finally confess his affair with Chloe to Charity as he said he hadn’t been ‘honest’.
He told his wife-to-be: ‘Actually, I do want to say something. I’m sorry, but I’ve not been entirely honest with you.
‘So the day that we got engaged I promised you that would be a moment everything went right for us, but that wasn’t true.
‘Because for me, it all started to go right when I met you. I know we promised there would be no speeches, but I need you and everyone here to know… there’s nothing more important to me. That’s why I was late, I was writing this.’
The happy couple then got married and went to celebrate their union with their loved ones, where they were told that Chloe had given birth to a son called Reuben.
Charity said: ‘Shall we have a little toast? To Chloe and to Reuben,’ while Mackenzie looked on anxiously.
Charity and Mackenzie then shared a private moment when the bride told her new husband to close his eyes while she delivered a speech of her own.
She said: ‘Um, what you said in the church, it was lovely and that’s why I kind of wanted to do the same, but I can’t do it with your eyes open because it’s kind of cringe.
‘The reason I didn’t want to do speeches is because all we seem to do is go over the past, and that’s not my favourite place to be… what is my favourite place is here and now with you.’
She poignantly continued: ‘God only knows what tomorrow will bring, there will be something, there always is, it’s only a matter of time, but we can get through anything.
‘For the first time in my life I know what’s important, it’s that we’ve got each other, just me and you,’ she concluded.
Mackenzie then said: ‘It will always just be me and you.’
The screen then flashed to show Chloe with her newborn baby as she said: ‘It’s just you and me now,’ referencing Mackenzie’s lack of involvement with the child.
It remains to be seen whether Charity will discover Mackenzie’s affair with Chloe or that her new father is seemingly Reuben’s father.
Emmerdale’s executive producer Jane Hudson previously warned Charity and Mackenzie’s wedding would be ‘explosive’.

The soap boss reminded viewers Chloe’s baby is due around the same time and that marriage ceremonies ‘never go smoothly’ on the show.
She told Metro: ‘Weddings never go smoothly, and Chloe’s baby is due around the time of the wedding!
‘I think you can put the pieces together yourself and figure out what might happen around the wedding – it will be explosive for Charity and Mackenzie.’
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
