A partially blind elderly man has allegedly been robbed while trying to get money out of an ATM at a shopping centre in Sydney’s west.
The 72-year-old was lined up at about 1.30pm on Sunday, March 19, and needed help because of his visual impairment.
While waiting for staff to assist him, police allege that a woman approached him and offered to help him.
The man accepted the woman’s help and, as the transaction was being processed, the woman allegedly withdrew a larger amount than requested.
Police would like to speak with a woman who may be able to assist with the investigation.
It’s further alleged she then fled with the cash.

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 18-23 years old, of thin build with brown hair.
At the time she was wearing a grey cropped t-shirt, light-blue ripped jeans, black thongs, a dark-coloured backpack, and glasses.
